Participants have a moment during a public discussion series on the future of public education that IF sponsored in Buenos Aires in August 2014.

Several Interactivity Foundation fellows have been selected to present at the National Council on Dialogue and Deliberation conference taking place in Reston, Virginia from October 17-21.

On Friday, October 18, IF fellows will present: “Beyond the Crossfire: 90-second Stories on What IF…”—a creative presentation about the people whose lives have impacted or been impacted by IF. Fellows and facilitators will tell 90-second stories across all three of the foundation’s focus areas: “sanctuary” projects used to create IF discussion guides, the public discussions IF sponsors across the U.S. and abroad, and the IF process at work in the classroom. After this storytelling presentation, IF will facilitate some Q&A and distribute plenty of free discussion tools and giveaways.

NCDD will also spotlight the foundation’s work during two other more in-depth sessions. On Saturday (10-18-14) 9 am – 10:30:  IF Vice President Jeff Prudhomme will participate in a collaborative workshop exploring IF’s work in education. “Teaching Next Generation Democracy.” And on Sunday (10–19-14) 11:00 am – 12:30 pm:  IF Fellows Mark Notturno and Shannon Wheatley Hartman will help lead collaborative workshop exploring possibilities for online discussions. “Video Deliberations: The Opportunity and Challenge.
